2012 Gallery:
"The Black Dove"
Watch out for the Black Dove, She's bad luck. This piece was created by myself and Ease at a demo during the Seattle night of Boro at 5th Avenue Gallery, Seattle WA. May 5th. 2012. Apparently the Dove was so seductive she enticed a man out of his job for he couldn't help but snag her just as she was cooling in the kiln. Good thing for cameras. Bad thing for thief's. "Blinging Birdie"
"Blinging Birdie" was a created in Seattle Washington 2012. Stand made by Sam Sharf. Photo by Jeremy R. Derks.
"Three's a charm"
When I was living in Seattle Washington I had this dream of legless ladies. The next day I woke up and made this piece which ended up being the blue print for the piece I created during the 2012 Pipe Classic in Burlington Vermont. "Three's a charm" illustrates my first study in the hollow figure form. Photo by Jeremy R. Derks.

Circle Cindy is my first collaboration with Calvin Mickle, aka Calm. Constructed in Denver 2012.
"Devil in your ear"
"Devil in your ear" She's persistant. Telling you things you'd rather not hear. Making dark of light situations, overreactions where no reaction is needed. Watch out. She'll burn your bridges and toil your harvest. The Devil's in your ear... are you listening? "Devil in your ear" Made in Seattle WA.
"Black Swarm"
"Black Swarm" was the fourth in a series of four tubes I created with Hans Mier, aka SNOB Glass Located just outside of Amsterdam in Leiden Holland. I can't believe how lucky I was to work with what seemed like the only pipe maker in all of Holland! With a glass scientific background of more than 20 years his style contrasted mine beautifully. It was a challenge to make work so far from home, but I rose to the occasion and did my best lend aesthetics to his function. January 2012. Photos by Hans Mier.

"Found it"
"Found it" was the competition piece I made for the online flame off during the summer of 2012. The event was sponsored by Piece of Mind in Spokane Washington. This huge piece decided to beak completely in half during the final hour of the competition leaving me disqualified. My head strong nature refused to let me put a broken piece on the table on judgment day, so I ended up foregoing the party to work all night repairing my piece. I'm glad I did. She still sits on my shelf reminding me of that day when i found my self, alone after the party, utterly saved.

STEP RIGHT UP FOLKS, THE CARNIVAL IS COMING TO TOWN! The are 27 functional pieces on this table... Can you find them?
In 2012 I was asked to be the Captain of a team to create an exhibition project for the Connoisseur culture trade show in Atlantic city New Jersey. We ended up wining peoples choice award that night for our 4 x 6 foot glass carnival installation set. My teammates included Nate Dizzle, Buck, Zach Puckowitz, and Nick Vorhees. Also, a special thanks to our sponsors, Hubby's medibles. You guys rule.

"The Harpy"
"The Harpy" is known in Greek Mythology to be the snatcher. There is no doubt this piece tried to snatch my ambition during the making process. Being one of the largest pieces I have ever constructed at over two feet tall, this bird refused to see its own flight to its final destination in Texas in 2012. The harpy was broke in the mail not once, but three times resulting in me physically driving across the country to deliver it to its home. There are few pieces I have made in the corse of my career that have taught me so much about hard work and determination.
